Merilyn Bouler died in a two-car crash here Friday night, she had cocaine in her coat pocket, police said Wednesday.Bouler, 39, an English teacher at Pierce Middle School in Merrillville, was being treated at The Methodist Hospitals emergency room in Gary when the cocaine was discovered.She died from blunt force trauma shortly after her car was hit broadside then slammed into a house at 19th Avenue and Taft Street about 11:30 p.m.Police described the amount of cocaine as small, "for personal use," and declined to elaborate further. The drug was confiscated by police, but the total weight was not released Wednesday.Results of her toxicology report won't be available for several more days, Lake County Coroner David Pastrick said.Bouler's son, Jonte Barber, 9, died in the crash, while her older son, Markel Evans, 11, was critically injured. The other driver, Felix Ross, was arrested for drunken driving after police obtained a .14 percent blood alcohol level. The standard for drunken driving in Indiana is .08 percent.Traffic investigators said they learned Ross was driving east and ran a red light as he crossed Taft Street at 19th Avenue. But Ross has told some people he had the right of way when he entered the intersection.The cars hit a traffic signal before Bouler's car crashed into the house. Firefighters had to cut occupants from the car before they could be treated for injuries.Co-workers, friends and students described Bouler as dedicated and faithful during memorials at her church and school this week.Funeral services for Bouler and her son are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church, 2457 Massachusetts St.

Timothy Dullum

Timothy Dullum, 38, is due in court today after his arrest this morning outside 704 Keck Avenue, where police say he set up a meth lab. According to a probable cause affidavit filed in the case, Dullum admitted doing so and told authorities that he used and sold the drug.
Evansville Police Department officers went to the home shortly before 2 a.m. in response to a narcotics complaint and met Dullum as he was leaving, the affidavit said.
A search of his jacket turned up a substance that tested positive for meth, along with $475 in cash, the affidavit said.
Officers then searched the house, where police said they discovered numerous items associated with an active meth lab, including propane and torch tanks that tested positive for meth, according to the affidavit.
According to the Indiana Offender Database, Dullum is on parole for March 2007 drug dealing conviction. It said he also has a Feb. 2005 conviction for a similar offense.

Ronald Fortson II,India Tardy

Ronald Fortson II, 25, and India Tardy, 24, both of Indianapolis, were stopped early Sunday morning at mile marker 64 on suspicion of a traffic-related violation.
Indiana State Police said an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle led to further investigation. Troopers said they found the drug and $6,000 in the vehicle.

Buchanan apartments

Searches of apartments turned up about $2,000 worth of suspected crack cocaine, some marijuana, narcotic packaging material and two digital scales, police said. They also found suspected cocaine inside a 2002 Ford Expedition in the driveway.
A 32-year-old female resident was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, second offense; maintaining a drug house, second offense; and possession of marijuana, police said.
Her 40-year-old neighbor was arrested for first offense counts of the same charges. His 35-year-old roommate was charged with maintaining a drug house, second offense; and the fourth person, a 19-year-old who lives on Hills Haven Road in Buchanan, was charged with possession of marijuana and a warrant for possession of marijuana.
